Lehigh County Coroner’s office has released the identities, causes, and manners of death in a Sept. 5, 2024 murder-suicide investigation in Allentown.

Livi E. Beltran Fernandez died of multiple gunshot wounds; her manner of death was ruled a homicide.

Jesus J. Cruz Ortiz died of a single gunshot wound to the head; his manner of death was ruled a suicide.

Although the manner of death of Ms. Beltran Fernandez is homicide, the sole suspect is Jesus Cruz-Ortiz no other individual is believed to have been involved.

The investigation is ongoing but at this point, it does not appear likely that any other criminal conduct occurred.
