Allentown, PA – Museum of Indian Culture is hosting the 44th roasting of the corn festival, the Museum’s most popular event of the year.
Inca Flutist, Sicanni Purizaca will be performing at the festival between 11 am and 4 pm both Saturday and Sunday
Vendors will offer a wide array of products like Sweetgrass, T-shirts, Handcrafted Zuni and Navajo silver jewelry, Wampum jewelry, Beadwork, Kachina Dolls, Pottery, Leathergoods
There will also be cultural heritage demonstrations such as:
- Lenape Cooking
- Flute making
- Primitive Fire Making
- Basketry
- Flintknapping
- Cree Tipi Display
- You can also try your hand at tomahawk and atlatl throwing!
No Native American festival would be complete without food….specifically frybread and Indian Tacos. Additional foods for sale will include Buffalo Burgers, Hamburger, Hotdogs, Corn Soup, and of course……fire roasted corn!
This event is taking place on August 17 and 18 between 10 AM until 6 PM both days, with the grand entrance at 12 noon located at Little Lehigh Parkway 2825 Fish Hatchery Road, Allentown, Pa 18103.
