Shooting took place on Sunday night during event

Allentown, PA – A shooting took place during the Dominican festival on Sunday night (6:46 PM) on the 100th block of 7th st.

When the Allentown police arrived, they engaged the people they observed shooting each other who had multiple gunshot wounds.

The case is being investigated; they did take 1 suspect into custody, a 21-year-old Yunior Peralta Quintana who is charged with:

• 1 account attempted homicide 
• 2 counts of Aggravated assault 
• 1 count simple assault
• 1 count recklessly endangering another person

The Lehigh County District’s attorney’s office is assisting the Allentown police with the ongoing investigation.
