The FBI knew about the threats
Since May of 2003, there were tips online of threats being made about the shooting last night at the Apalachee High School that took the lives of Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo, both 14, and instructors Richard Aspinwall, 39, and Christina Irimie, 53 according to the FBI in Atlanta statement.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s office located the shooter and interviewed the 13-year-old and his father after seeing posts of photographs of guns on his posts. The father said that the subject did not have unsupervised access to the guns while the shooter denied making any threats last year. The authorities did not take this seriously saying there was no probable cause for an arrest or take any additional action on the local, state, or federal level.
