The Medina Police Department is actively investigating an assault that occurred on October 19, 2024, in the 200 block of Abbeyville Road. At approximately 5:30 PM, officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of a stabbing.
Upon arrival, officers located a 32-year-old male victim who had been stabbed twice by an unknown assailant. Officers administered immediate first aid to the victim until the Medina Life Support Team arrived. He was then transported to Medina Hospital and later transferred by medical helicopter to a trauma center for advanced care. The victim is in stable condition.
Witnesses reported seeing the suspect flee the scene in a dark-colored SUV. After a preliminary investigation, Medina Police have identified the suspect as Darrius M. Miller, a resident of Cleveland, Ohio.
A warrant has been issued for Miller’s arrest on a charge of felonious assault, a second-degree felony. Investigators believe additional charges may be filed pending further review by the Medina County Grand Jury.
