Washington, D.C. – Congressman Fred Keller (R-PA) today applauded the United States Small Business Administration for quickly reopening the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan portal so that small businesses can begin applying for relief.

The loan portal will open to PPP-eligible lenders with $1 billion or less in assets for First and Second Draw applications on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 9 a.m. and open fully on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 to all participating PPP lenders to submit First and Second Draw loan applications.

On the reopening of the PPP loan portal, Congressman Fred Keller made the following statement:

“This announcement comes as a huge relief for lenders, small businesses, and the millions of American workers who are fighting to make ends meet during this pandemic. Nothing has been more effective in keeping Americans attached to their jobs, sustaining livelihoods, and fueling our nation’s economic comeback than the Paycheck Protection Program.

“I commend the U.S. Small Business Administration for working so diligently to reopen this program and deliver this new round of loans to those who have been hardest hit. Our team invites those navigating through this process to contact one of our offices if we can be of assistance.”

Updated PPP Lender forms, guidance, and resources are available at www.sba.gov/ppp and www.treasury.gov/cares.
