First Amendment auditor falsely arrested and property stolen

New York, NY – Sean Paul Reyes a First Amendment auditor long island (LIA) first amendment auditor, journalist, and teacher at police departments goes to exercise his constitutional rights to freedom of the press and hold our government accountable for honoring the oath to the constitution they took.

One would think the police would honor their oath. Still, although many do honor their oath there are many who do not take their oath seriously violating many citizens’ constitutional rights.

LIA last week went to exercise his constitutional right at the NYPD 61st precinct to document his complaint process only to get illegally arrested by Officer Cucuzza for breaking their unconstitutional policy of recording in the lobby of the police station. LIA spent six hours in jail while the police stole his property only to call it “evidence”.

A video on Sunday posted by LIA documenting his rights violated to record inside the lobby of the 105th precinct while trying to make a formal complaint about the 61st precinct, LIA under the threat of being falsely arrested went outside to fill out his complaint form. This visit did not end with an illegal arrest but his constitutional rights were still violated.
